The Fine Print, In Plain English
Last updated: June 18, 2026
The short version: This is a small website run by one author. It collects almost nothing. There are no advertising trackers, nothing is ever sold, and the only personal detail it asks for is your email address — and only if you choose to give it, so we can send you free sample chapters. Even that address isn't kept on this site; it lives in our newsletter provider, Kit. That's the whole story. The rest of this page just spells it out.
Military Stories for Boys is published by Appware Studio PTY. LTD., the work of the author K.M. Hardie. This policy covers the website at militarystoriesforboys.com. If you have any question about it, you can reach a real person at privacy@militarystoriesforboys.com.
There are only a few things, and each one has a plain reason behind it:
This site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. The analytics are cookieless by design. Cloudflare may set a small number of strictly functional cookies to keep the site secure and working, and that is the extent of it.
To run the site, a few trusted services handle small, specific jobs on our behalf:
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, for any reason. There is no advertising business behind this site to feed.
These books are written for boys roughly nine to fourteen, but the website is built so that the grown-ups do the signing up. The email features here are meant for parents, teachers, and guardians — the people who buy and share the books. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child. If you are a parent or guardian and a child has signed up for our emails, you stay completely in control of that address: just click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we have sent, and the address comes off the list straight away. The sign-up and the list itself are handled by Kit (kit.com), one of the most established and widely trusted email platforms in the world — so the address is held securely, and a single click removes it for good.
This is the simplest part, because there is almost nothing to manage. This website does not store anything about you — there is no database here, no record of visitors, and no list of email addresses kept on the site. The only piece of personal data is the email address you give when you subscribe — nothing else is ever asked for — and it is held in Kit and nowhere else.
There is nothing on this website to keep — it holds no records of any kind, and there is no store of information here for anyone to look up. Your email address exists in one place only, Kit, and only for as long as you want the emails. When you unsubscribe you are taken off the list and the emails stop; if you would also like the address erased from Kit entirely, just ask and it is gone. The visitor statistics are anonymous totals that were never linked to you in the first place, so there is nothing personal there to hold or delete.
If the way the site handles data ever changes, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it. Nothing here is buried or written to trick you; if you can think of a clearer way to say any of it, tell us.
